Metochi is a lowland settlement of the Municipality of Western Achaia and is located near the wetland of Strofilia. According to a Venetian census of 1700, the area was part of the Holy Monastery of the Great Cave, while in 1824, during the Revolution, the settlement was looted by the Turks.
