The beautiful church of Panagia Retouniotissa was built in 1898 on a rocky slope of the Black Mountains, at the eastern entrance of the village of Kalogria, at a height of 650 meters. According to tradition, the founder of the church and breeder George Alexandropoulos dreamed of the Virgin Mary who revealed to him that in the unique cave of the Black Mountains there is an image of her. The panoramic view of the wider area, the lagoon of Prokopos and the Ionian Sea is truly magnificent. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is not accessible through public transport.
