Megas Dendros (or Mega Dendro) is a small mountainous village built at an altitude of about 520 meters. It is located near the Lake Trichonida and is one of the settlements of historic Apokouros. It is the birthplace of Agios Kosmas the Aetolian and within the settlement the foundations of his paternal house are located within the settlement. Other points of interest are the Holy Monastery of Agios Kosmas the Aetolian as well as the Monument to the Fallen Aviators erected in 2017. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
