The Holy Monastery of the Entrances of the Virgin or Panagia Faneromeni (also known as the Monastery of Myrtia) is located between Agrinio and Thermo, near Lake Trichonida. It is a male stone monastery with particularly important religious and historical significance. The sanctuary was built in the 11th -12th century as a separate church, while the rest of the monastery in the 16th century. It is decorated with impressive hagiographies of the 12th -13th century.
