The celebrations of Panagia Katholiki in Gastouni take place every year on Easter Tuesday morning. After the Divine Liturgy, the custom is revived with the "burning of the Arapis", a model of a Turk, for the liberation of the city from the Turks. Three figures are hung on the high bell tower, where the largest one depicts the "Arapis". After the burning of "Arapis" follows the procession of the icon of the Virgin Mary, while the events close with traditional dances in the courtyard of the Temple. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. It is accessible in the Spring. It is not accessible through public transport.
