The river Pineios that crosses the homonymous municipality is the second largest river in the Peloponnese. Its main springs are located at the peaks of Erymanthos, while its estuary in Paleochori and specifically, at Bouka beach in the Chelonitis Gulf. What characterizes it are the dozens of different habitats that it forms in its journey, thus contributing to the conservation of fauna and flora in the area. Its existence is quite important, as through the artificial lake Pineios it offers water, in order to water the crops that exist in the plain of Ileia. This point of interest is Flat and Rural.
