The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in the village of Vartholomios is a very large and imposing church with a huge bell tower right next door. It was built in 1890 and took 50 years to complete. It was of royal style and had two bell towers, while in 1953 it was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake, since only the iconostasis of the sanctuary was saved. The new church has been operating since the 60's, in which the old iconostasis is still present. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. It is accessible all year round.
