The Church of Agios Ioannis Theologos in the settlement of Platanos took ten years to be rebuilt, from 1890 to 1900. It is an impressive stone church with a great architectural structure, which is 30 meters long and 12 meters wide. The bell tower of the temple was built by refugees from Asia Minor in 1924, the clock in 1925 while the tall plane tree that exists outside the temple was planted by students in 1886. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
