The Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni is a former male monastery, built probably in the 8th century on the north side of the mountain "Monastiri", near the village of Aroania. Externally it looks like a fortress as it is surrounded by a wall and most of its buildings have collapsed, with the only surviving being a tower-like building that was the residence of the monks. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
