The parish Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Platanos was built in 1980 and operates from Holy Monday until October 28th. It impresses with its great architecture and its impressively sculpted wood-carved iconostasis. The temple is decorated with copies of original classic icons. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
