Mavrospilia is located east of the settlement Monastiri. It is a large cave which was a refuge for the inhabitants during the Turkish occupation. It is worth noting the black spots that still exist inside the cave from the fires that were lit by the inhabitants, as well as the closed entrance of the cave from a wall with crenelations. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible in the Spring and Summer. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
