The Pepelenitsi Monastery is a nunnery built on the slope of the gorge of Selinounta, opposite the Holy Monastery of Pamegiston Taxiarchon. The katholikon of the monastery is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and around it are located 5 chapels. It was originally built on a lower site, where ruins are still found, but was destroyed in 1772 and moved to its current location in the rocks for safety. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
